Meet Jim Medley & Rick Sawyer!
Jim and Rick have more than 75 years of broadcasting experience combined. They've both worked their way around Wisconsin's radio markets, and, luckily for us, they landed in Manitowoc.
Jim is a seasoned radio broadcaster that started playing records at a small-town Nebraska radio station. He has worked in markets such as Wausau, Marinette and Green Bay and loves the small-town lifestyle.
The Black Hills of South Dakota is where he grew up, Graduating from Rapid City Central High School in 1983 and then completing studies at Ron Bailie School of Broadcasting in Denver Colorado.
In winter, Jim likes to go downhill skiing, in spring and summer you will find him in the garden growing vegetables and in the fall, he is in the field hunting.

After more than 54 years in broadcasting, Rick Sawyer has retired...again.
He began his radio career in April of 1970 in Green Bay and went on to work across the Midwest, including Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan. Throughout the years, Rick has held many roles, including Music Director, Program Director, Promotions Director, and Operations Manager for several broadcast companies.
While Rick has stepped away from regular on-air shifts, listeners can still hear him on The Jim and Rick Show every Friday from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM with Jim Medley, as well as The Jim and Rick Show: Open Mic Edition on Mondays from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM.
When he’s not “retiring,” Rick enjoys spending time with his two daughters and his grandkids—proving that retirement, for him, is more of a flexible concept than a final stop.
